ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Founder Stuart Weitzman always believed that a beautiful shoe is useless unless it feels as wonderful as it looks.
Born in 1941 on Long Island, New York, Stuart Weitzman grew up apprenticing under his father, Seymour Weitzman, at the Mr. Seymour shoe factory in Haverhill, Massachusetts. In 1986, he launched his namesake brand. Since then, the majority of Stuart Weitzman's collections have been produced in Elda, Spain, a tiny city in the Alicante province known for its artisanal shoemaking.
As one of only a few designers who was also a skilled patternmaker, it did not take long before he became known for combining fashion and function in each pair of shoes. To this day, Stuart Weitzman shoes are synonymous with style and comfort.
In 2017, Stuart retired after more than five decades in the footwear industry. Today, the Stuart Weitzman brand is part of Caleres, a market-leading portfolio of global footwear brands.

VITAL VOICES GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP
Vital Voices Global Partnership is a non-profit dedicated to supporting women leaders around the world. Our partnership began in March 2020 with a focus on sponsoring grants for women leaders making bold change in their communities, and we partnered with our brand ambassadors Serena Williams (2020-2021) and Kate Hudson (2022) to select the grant recipients.
I AM A VOTER.
I am a voter. is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization that aims to increase voter participation nationwide, regardless of political beliefs. To launch our partnership in August 2020, we created the limited-edition 5050 VOTE boot to raise awareness about voting during an important moment in history. 100% of net profits from the sale of the boot was donated to I am a voter. in support of its voter registration efforts.
INHERSHOES MOVEMENT
InHerShoes Movement is a non-profit dedicated to catalyzing women and girls to live more courageously through workshops, events and more. Our partnership began in 2021 when InHerShoes was selected as the recipient of the Stuart Weitzman x Vital Voices grant, and we continued our partnership in 2022 with localized micro activations, such as Day of Courage (honoring Black History Month) and Step Into Courage (focused on recent graduates).
IT GETS BETTER PROJECT
The It Gets Better Project is a non-profit dedicated to uplifting, connecting and empowering LGBTQ+ youth around the globe. In celebration of Pride Month, we launched our limited-edition Pride Capsule Collections in 2021 and 2022. Donations from which supported the It Gets Better Project's programmatic priorities, including storytelling, education and global growth.
